Jennifer Salgado is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Case Manager. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2014 at Saint Joseph’s University in Brooklyn, New York. She graduated from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College City University of New York in 2016 where she completed her field practicum in health and mental health and obtained her Master of Social Work degree.

Jennifer was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York as the granddaughter of a founding pastor who established a local Christian church called Fountain of Life. Her passion for counseling and leadership developed within ministry at an early age. She organized fundraisers, retreats and conferences for youth and enjoyed leading bible studies and preaching emboldening sermons to congregants.

Jennifer’s professional career encompasses working in some of the nation’s largest and most acclaimed healthcare systems, including but not limited to Mount Sinai and Emory hospitals, as well as hospice, care management agencies and managed care organizations in the city of New York and metro Atlanta.

Jennifer specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients identify and challenge limiting beliefs. She employs a strengths-based approach to ensure clients are empowered to overcome life’s obstacles. She guides sessions using a psychodynamic framework that helps clients effectively process unresolved trauma to unlock their potential for growth and healing.

Jennifer has served some of the most vulnerable populations, including those suffering with chronic and life-threatening illnesses, substance abuse/addiction, physical and cognitive impairments, low socioeconomic status, and various mental health disorders. Her experience serving such communities nurtured a keen awareness and expert-level skillset that brands her an effective and assertive agent of change.
